It’s hard to find good help these days. That’s why when we find someone who’s good, we do everything in our power to keep them. Our installers are all seasoned veterans most have been with us since we first opened the doors. All work performed by Benchmark craftsmen is 100% guaranteed we even have a senior technician dedicated to inspecting and resolving repair issues should they arise.
Then there are the do-it-yourselfers who get as much pleasure from installing their floor as they do from walking on it afterwards. Some flooring, like ceramic, is more difficult to install yourself than others. And every type of floor has it's own tricks for a professional looking installation that can only be learned on the job.
The best advice we can offer is to read up on what you are going to attempt, read instructions carefully, take your time and have the proper tools. A kitchen knife or jack knife will not cut carpet cleanly - if at all - and we've seen the evidence to prove it.
If you are determined to try, here is one site we like for its articles on how to install the various types of flooring. It even has how-to videos you can watch online.
